    Unlike the pic on Medpage (qv), I don’t think this is actually a rack. I’m not sure what you call it, but I’m pretty certain it works by crushing the ankles between the vertical bars, not by stretching the joints in the spine and long bones.

    That said, I agree with the basic point made there that statistical links do not imply causal links!

    Ken, You are right. I did get this when I did a Google image search on “The Rack Torture.” Apparently the Chinese had a rack of their own. I just liked this picture.
